Estonia - Endless forests, moors, and the chance to observe brown bears in the wild. Estonia has a lot to offer in terms of landscape, wildlife, and culinary delights. The highlights of our Estonia road trip are the beautiful national parks Lahemaa, Soomaa, and Matsalu. But also the island Hiiuma with its old lighthouses, the beach of Pärnu, and the beautiful Hanseatic city Tallinn inspire us.

A practical starting point for your Estonia road trip is of course the capital Tallinn. If you are already traveling in the Baltic States and are arriving from Latvia, Pärnu is a good starting point.

Tallinn is a beautiful old town. Colorful old houses are lined up there, surrounded by a city wall. The town hall square is particularly beautiful. A visit to the Domberg is also worthwhile. There you will find the remains of a medieval castle, the castle, and a few beautiful vantage points.

Do you love lonely beaches and untouched nature? And do you have a weakness for old lighthouses? Then Hiiumaa is the place for you. Although Hiiumaa is Estonia's second largest island, it is wonderfully natural and relaxed.

Matsalu National Park is the hotspot for ornithologists in Estonia. And of course an interesting destination for nature and animal lovers like us. Matsalu is the largest resting and nesting place for migratory birds in the Baltic Sea region. An absolute bird paradise, which you should absolutely plan on your Estonia trip.

The long sandy beach of Pärnu is a dream of beauty. Especially the back part is inspiring - natural and wonderfully lonely.

During your holiday in Estonia, you should not miss a visit to the Soomaa National Park. A great place for #hiking in Estonia with beautiful scenery. Also interesting is that there are five seasons in the national park, in addition to the "normal" four comes the high water season.

For Lahemaa National Park you can easily plan two to three days during your holiday in Estonia. The Lahemaa National Park offers wonderful hiking trails, which offer beautiful variety between the light pine forest and the coast with its many boulders. In the very north of the peninsula, a narrow headland rises into the Baltic Sea, which is ideal for exceptional photos.
