The Serengeti National Park in Tanzania is known for its incredible wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. The park is home to a wide variety of animals including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) as well as giraffes, hyenas, wildebeest, zebras and many more.

Good to know:

  •    Getting there: Fly to Kilimanjaro Int'l or Arusha airport. Depending on the type of safari you have booked, you can either take a short flight directly into the national park or drive an off-road vehicle to your lodge.
  •    Getting Around: A guided safari is the easiest and best way to explore the park and gives you the greatest chance of seeing as much wildlife as possible!
  •    Where to Stay: There are several lodges throughout the park with different price points to choose from.
  •    When to Visit: As long as you avoid the rainy months of April and May, any time of year is suitable for visiting the Serengeti. The Great Migration takes place in December and August and is generally considered high season.
  •    How Long to Visit: Again, this depends on your specific safari. However, a minimum of four days is generally recommended.
  •    More: Check out our trips to the Maasai Mara Reserve and Zanzibar to learn more!
